Policies

Our commitment to students is to keep the school open during class hours, offering a warm environment, friendly treatment  based on respect and dignity, and offering you the best of us during class time as well as outside of the class hours. The job as a Spanish teacher/tutor is not limited to teaching the class, but requires preparation of the class in advance and looking for all the resources that can serve and aid in your learning journey.

Therefore we have some policies that help us continue offering Spanish classes in Franklin TN.  Please see below:

No refunds

At Franklin Spanish we strive to always stay open from Monday to Thursday, and our teachers are present, awaiting their students. Whether you attend class or not, the teacher's time is always paid for.  For that reason, there are no refunds for missed classes.

*Important note:

The classes are not "accumulative" for the next month or payment cycle.  When a new cycle starts, you still need to register for the new month of classes, as the ones you missed do not roll over.  As you register month to month, you can continue making up missed classes at anytime.   However, it is important to note that if you do not register for the next month, make up classes must be made up within the same month of payment/registration.

**Make-Up Class

In order to have the opportunity to make up missed classes at anytime, you must be registered for the upcoming month.  A situation that is not valid would be:  A student attends only three weeks in January, and then does not register for February, thinking he/she still has a week to use at some point.  This scenario tends to be a trend, and is what we are trying to avoid with the Policy.

***Exception

As explained above, there is no refund, but if for any reason, You paid, but were not able to attend the classes, you may request a refund within a 30 day period

In addition, if you registered with payment but for some reason was unable to attend classes that month, do not worry... we will give you the opportunity to reserve a seat for a period of three months. After 3 months, your payment will expire. So, if you decide to take classes after the 3 month period expires, you must register for the new month's cycle.

Our annual WORK schedule

Franklin Spanish is open for 9 months out of the year, January thru May, and August thru November.  This is a normal School year.  We also offer a Summer Spanish Course for June and July.

Not Chronological, No Modules...Yay!!!

Students may register and enter at any time, as the school does not operate based on Modules.    We have a large Christmas Party the first weekend of December to begin vacation, and we also have a large Open House event the first weekend of August to initiate the beginning of the School Year.   Even during vacation months, students may refer to the Google Classroom assignments, resources, and tools to continue studying.

Spring Break, Fall Break

We follow the schedule of the Williamson County educational system, so we observe the breaks. However, prior to the Break, as teachers, we work twice as hard to give you some homework that you must present upon your return, so your learning process is not interrupted.  Spring and Fall Breaks do not affect regular monthly payments.

Interruptions due to bad weather

As we all know, the weather in Tennessee is unpredictable, so some days we have to cancel classes. In that case, you will be responsible for making up the class.

When there is snow and classes have to be closed for three days or even up to a week, we will record the class and will send it to you so you can study.  This way, your learning is not interrupted.
